As Mick says above, an absolutely awesome day :D It cracked off, for me at least, with a magical run around Morpeth, an absolutely gorgeous little town.

Then it was off to Alnwick, another amazingly gorgeous town, in the company of Neil (Newcastle Falcon) via lots of very scenic bits of Northumberland, most of which was absolutely jaw-dropping :D

Then in Alnwick, at the old station bookshop, we met Steve (Myglaren) and after a browse in the huge second-hand bookshop, we took lunch and enjoyed some most excellent banter over some rather good food......

We then proceeded to Seaton Carew via a car breakers near Ashington to finalise a deal for Alasdair (StickyFnger) on some Sinker Xantia spares :D

On arrival in Seaton Carew, I enjoyed a little run along the beach on the rather lovely soft sand...

We found a great little eatery for dinner and enjoyed a tremendous pizza each :D

Mick struck lucky and got the en-suite hotel room and I'm having to rough it with shared facilities!

Today we proceed. I have no clue as to the itinerary - it's all a bit magical mystery!!!

An album of the pictures I've taken on Day 1 and Day 2... All a bit random: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBJT5P

Onwards and upwards... It'll soon be breakfast time :D

Very appropriate for "The September Shuffle" Jim nice chronological randomisation with a shuffling of the photo order!
Some great images there, and as on POTD when I encouraged the FCF faithful to post up a very neglected area ie nighttime photography, an excellent set of atmospheric "Morpeth at Night" photos.

I'll pick out this one though of the more popular subjects but a reminder of the Start of an excellent day, carrying through to its namesake lunchtime venue in Alnwick :-D Big thanks to Steve as well for making the effort to come up for the rendezvous, very much appreciated, and added to a very enjoyable day for me.

Great Day.

Enjoyable indeed Neil and nice to make your acquaintance 'in the flesh' as it were.

Spotted a heron spotted beside the A1 between Alnwick and Morpeth.
The pleasure of that destroyed when something ran out of the roadside undergrowth and was severely deaded by my front wheels.
Couldn't see what it was it was so fast but vaguely the size and shape of a marten.

Absolutely delighted you both enjoyed it as much as we did 😀 We are enjoying another absolute cracker of a day today, despite the weather although currently it's fairly good in a relative sort of a way 😀

We made a conscious not to visit this time Steve and will save that pleasure until next time when we can spend longer there 😉

A truly superb day yesterday - it was a mystery tour for me and it was magical! I saw the Middlesborough Transporter Bridge and some really amazing scenery in North Yorkshire :D

It was horrendously wet for the most part and that spoiled things just a tiny bit but not massively! Such was the weather we even found an unfordable ford!

The plan to spend a while at Grosmont was scuppered by the weather as we hoped to see a bit of North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam Gala action. No worries, it in no way spoilt a great day..

The highlight was to see all the 'Heartbeat' filming locations in Grosmont :D

We stayed in a lovely hotel and enjoyed a very good dinner :)

And I was able to enjoy a run and get my endorphin fix. Being unable to run yesterday morning due to the weather I was getting decidedly twitchy  I'm hopelessly addicted and NEED to run and get my drug as much as any junkie does....

Here's the Day 3 photo album: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBK19d

Again all a bit random...

Last day today and on our way home :( I've really loved these few days away although I'm starting to get homesick now. I really don't 'do' being away very well, especially when I know flood water is close to my house :( I know all is OK in that respect as I'm currently remote accessed into the forum backup server that lives under the stairs in my house!

Huge thanks Mick for all! Hugely appreciated in all ways and you succeed in doing something that's almost impossible - dragging me away from Paggers ;)

Jim meant Goathland when he said Grosmont for Heartbeat locations
We can forgive him due to his endorphin deficiency :-D

Likewise! Heading off in a hour or so, weather looks OK later so I am chucking the bike in the car for a post lunch (hilly) ride....
