LED side light bulbs

I bought some LED encapsulated 501 side light bulbs off ebay.

They fitted well and are virtually identical in size and shape.

However, on the camper van ( Ducato ) they threw a bulb failure warning light. On the Vitara they did not. So much for being Canbus error free. They do give a good clean light however and work well in the Vitara's numberplate lights

You need to use a ballast resistor parallel on the leds

I find those LED bulbs work really well as interior lights in my older cars...
