I reroofed my workshop which is a flat roof extension on the house (Should have been a garage but the builders didn't have quite enough space so too narrow)
The original roof was matchboard which had got wet and started to fall apart.
I took it all off and replaced it with 19mm ply then finished it with Firestone Rubber cover sheeting, did it myself without any help.

I have manufactured an inner for the tank from old sheeting I had and sculpted it to feed the water that drips in straight down to the drain and now no water can accumulate below the outlet level!! :-D
The tanks inner water flow guide!!

Personally I'd have left the tank as is so there is a 'sump' below the outlet to let the muck, that will surely follow the rainwater in, settle out before it has a chance to block the outlet & discharge hose. Or, maybe a fine filter before the outlet. Sods law says it'll block when your not there to clear it.
Nice bodge mind you :)

Not a problem with sludge Vic as the leak is through a very fine hairline crack so the roof sheet does all the necessary filtering and only the clear water gets through!! :-D

Just a thought.
If I could find a 'thumbs up' thingy I'd post one.

This is what was inside these filters and condenser looked like.

SWMBO came through yesterday and said "there is a funny smell coming from the drier and the drum and sheets are very hot".

I have never seen the condenser so choked. Bless her cotton socks, she has been emptying the small white door filter since she was given intensive training ( again ) on inspecting the door filter, the condenser and emptying the condensate tank. Not surprisingly she only bothered to check the door filter as she found the other checks too "technical" - besides, why keep something in the kennel if you have to "bark" yourself. Apparently, I am good for something.

Now, I don't know what the statistics for tumble drier fires are but I reckon we weren't far from being a statistic. I have spent the entire day cleaning the entire tumble drier and made the mental note to check the drier's filters myself ( again ).

I had to regularly clean ours, the condenser mainly. It would just stop with an indicator to say it had to be cleaned. Filter wasn't that bad but cleaned after every use.

It did stop dead once, much dismantling occurred but found it was the reservoir for the condensate, that had a float switch in it. Full of fluff so the pump failed to empty it. Easy fix when you know how.
I rarely used it so gave it to my son when he acquired a lodger/girlfriend/fiancé.

I would have thought that with all the lights and settings that this thing has it should be able to clean itself! But, no, it was choked to death and not a whimper, a flashing light, or a shrill tweeter to drive you nuts. SWMBO picked it out and said that I needed to show her how to look after it, which I did. To begin with I checked the thing with her, then every now and again and then, latterly, after a refresher course, she said she could fly "solo" - technology held no fears for her now! Mental note. Check the tumble drier on a regular basis.
