C4 grand picasso headlight not working

Unread post by larniegh »

Hi all

I'm having an issue with my C4 grand picasso. My headlights have both stopped working. Im not 100% sure one may have stopped before the other. Bulbs are fine. I believe the fuses are fine (I checked 4 10amp fuses which are listed as having some headlamp function).

The stalk still operates the full beam and the fog lights correctly.

I did have one side light working until I checked the fuses and now I don't have that either.

The fuses look ok. No evidence of rust or damage. I've changed them about to see if it makes any difference and other than the one side light now going out I have no lights.

Any ideas before I look at getting a mechanic?

Thanks :) image is of the fuses in the engine I checked, pic is a photo from Google not my actual fusebox

This is a pic of my actual module. I cannot see any evidence of water or dampness at all. There's no rust on any of it, even the screws holding it in are immaculate. Is there a way of testing it without removing the whole module? I've felt all around it and cannot feel anything that isn't completely dry, and it's dusty as hell, not dirty that might suggest the dust has clumped in the wet.

You need a multimeter to check the bulbs, and then if OK, whether you have 12v and earth at the lights. Usually it's the bulbs....

The bulbs look good and I changed one of then which made no difference. I'll have a look at getting a multimeter though to check :)
