The last one of those I sold went for £30 at Ledbury Auction after sitting unsold on my forecourt for six months. It was a tidy enough van, running but no takers.
A couple of weeks after it went I had a chap wanting to know if it was still available because his name matched the reg No and he would have paid £200 for the personal plate. :(

I may be wrong but I suspect this car will make it to this thread, it is one 70's performance car that I never had the chance to drive, the nearest being a rally prepared Toledo which I drove for a friend on a rally in Wales when he was taken ill the day before the event and the entry and accommodation had all been paid for!! I didn't offer to drive it again after finishing 9th out of 34 on that occasion! :-D

Yes please, thank you very much - but I'd prefer yellow over white if there's the option :-D

Am I right they've something odd like head bolts that run though coolant passageways and so (given a bit of shoddy maintenance history then) corrode rather firmly into place?

(Gosh, don't know where I have plucked that from!?)

That's an SE, isn't it? More power and improved driveshaft couplings amongst other improvements.

One to tear at certain heart strings, what happens when you put your favourite colour on your favourite car? Starting later this may be the result: :-D

Oh gosh! Heartstrings definitely tugged :) Maybe I should not just have placed a large order for a stock of AX spares
