Hello, my VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. My peugeot 5008 is a 2015 and I'm probably on the Power Flex 3gen. I have a diag box and from the diagnostics on the computer screen of the additive pump it says: volume of new additive 1.4l. and current amount of additive present in the vessel 42%. When measuring parameters in the engine computer, it says that the amount of fuel left in the tank is 348ml and the volume of the tank with additive is 1160ml. I want to add eolis and my question is where in the diag box should I go and write

When you have topped it up, either go into the repair options and find it under particle filter operations, or via the engine ECU menu once you have run a diagnostic scan and selected the engine ECU parameters. You don't specifiy an amount you have topped it up by, just reset the additive counter to zero on most vehicles.

Yes, Poweflex additive for this vehicle.

You need Powerflex additive specifically and you have a reservoir, not a pouch based system.

Couldn't find anywhere on how to add Eolys fluid to my 67 plate 5008 MK2 II so this is to help others. 97k miles
Below I explain how I did it.

I purchased a 1L original kit part 9736A0. Others are available.

Location of the tank in as you look from the side of the car, under the passager back door towards the kerb. There is a plastic cover underneath which has 3x 10mm nuts and a torx screw which you remove to gain access to tank (The tank has 12v supply and a feed pipe towards the fuel tank at the front). At he back of the tank there's a 90 degree plug which has two blue clips on either side which you push togheter and pull back to disconnect.
Once disconnected, connect the hose and the Powerflex bottle from the kit, raise as high as possible and squeeze or just let gravity do it's thing. You will know it's empty as it will be a lot easier to push on the bottle. Check in the meantime for leaks so you don't waste any fluid and then reconnect the connector to the tank. The tank, I think, takes more than 1L possibly even 2L.

On diagbox:
Run global test -> Select Engine ECU -> Repair -> Pack repair -> Action service - >Draining Filling Bleeding -> Refilling Additive reservoir -> Follow instructions on screen (make sure you press the play button). It will ask twice you switch off and on ingition, then fingers crossed it will say succesful.

Your permanent fault will become intermittent and you can now delete it.
Good luck!

Hi, I've bought a C3 Picasso 1.6 2011 a couple of months ago, had a light on the dash saying "Risk of Particulate Filter Clogging", after googling, I wasn't even aware that my car needed/used additive, if I give you guys my VIN number, is it possible for some kind soul to check please? Yes, your vehicle has a pouch-based additive system, so requires a new Powerflex pouch - however, that's not what the message is telling you. When the additive pouch needs replacing, it will tell you the additive level is low. The message you are getting is referring to the particle filter itself - which is telling you it is getting blocked up.

When this message occurs, you need to go for an uninterrupted drive of at least 40 mph for half an hour or so to give time for the engine to warm up and for the exhaust gasses to reach the minimum required for the particle filter to regenerate. If the engine ECU cannot regenerate the particle filter, it will start to clog up and then flag the message.

This usually happens on lots of short stop & Start journeys where the vehicle never has time to warm up and start a regeneration. Although the engine management system has strategies for coping with this, there comes a point where multiple failed attempts will flag the warning - which is when you need to go for a drive to allow a regeneration of the filter (see owner handbook). If you have a 5-speed vehicle then I would suggest not going above 4th gear to encourage more rapid engine heating.

Thank you for the info, I've just got back from a 20mile blast, no errors now and the car feels so much better for it. Cheers
