clio rear door problems

I have a problem with my 2001 clio 1.5 dci,the 2 rear doors wont unlock.One side acted up first then the other after a couple of weeks.The solenoids seem to move but wont unlock.Could i disconnect the wiring at the rear locks and connect the battery to it to try and open the doors. Does anybody have any other ideas.

i take it both front doors open with c/l if so normally it would be an earth problem with the rear doors/wireing,near the drivers side front under the kick plate there should be two earth wires check they are clean and tight with no corosion. hopefully that should sort it

I looked up a wiring diagram ,i couldn't find any earth wires mentioned,but i'll have a look and try and find them.thanks

generally your neutral is your earth (on auto's, unlike your house)
