Before I head off down the rabbit hole of trying to fix my 'P0087 above 3000rpm' problem, can someone confirm that I absolutely positively only have one fuel pump?
I'm pretty sure it only has the high pressure mechanical pump on the back of the engine and doesn't have an electric one in the tank.
Car is a 2008 207cc 1.6 HDi with VIN: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Do you have a squeezy bulb in the fuel line in the engine bay? If you do then you don't have an in-tank fuel pump.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Yes I do.
I had to use it when I replaced the fuel filter a while back.
So... on to the next two potential culprits then... the rail pressure sensor and... the regulator...
Thanks for the info!
