Hi!
I want to replace the anti roll bar bushes but not sure whether They can be replaced or need to replace the bar itself. It seems the bushes are enclosed to brackets attached the bar itself. I have purchased bushes itself brand called Tedgum but not sure after checking under the car they seem to be attached to roll bar with brackets.. Is there a way to dismantle brackets any diagram or walkthrough much appreciated.. Also if brackets are removable do i need to use new bolts?
VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thank you.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
If it's the actual drop links you are referring to (rarely the ARB itself), then no, you don't faff with bushes, you just replace the drop links with the bushes already fitted:
Shown here at (2)
(2) ARB Drop Links
OEM Original, part: 9844264780, £44.98
Nuts for above (Essential), part: 9817224280, £2.09
Cheaper Alternative part: 1679755380, £20.27
Or if it's the ARB itself (1), then part: 9802490980, £356.47
So I'd first be certain you actually need to replace the ARB! It's usually always the drop links that need replacing, especially if you feel the vehicle dips under when turning to one side or the other. If you get this, then it's the drop links that need replacing most likely.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
I try to pry the drop links to check any movements with crowbar but they seem to be OK not %100 sure though and every other bits of the steering apart from Steering column!
There is a slight knocking sound also can feel through steering wheel which can be heard at very slow speed in all directions going forward and reverse especially with soft braking.. I have visually Checked the bushings on anti roll bar as much as I can I though they might be the cause of the sound.
When heavy braking no pull sides or dipping while turning.
I thought changing ARB bushes was easy but seem to be non replaceable on this car?

You may also need to check the front axle - specifically the bushes on the trailing arms too. I had a clunking on braking and pulling away:

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
Hi umut!
Wonder if you got this sorted out. I am exactly with the same doubts than you, except my ABR bushes seem even worse than yours (although the only symptom is just some squeak sound over bumps). A friend told me I would have to buy the whole bar and that no bushes were sold for this cars ARB. I found the TED41620 just like you and bought them (not cheap) and now I am on this conundrum , will I be able to swap them?

What I find odd is that the bushes have no slit. When I look at the bush mounts there are two screws so I would assume the bushes are replaceable.
Did you manage to come to a conclusion? How did you solve this?
Thanks in advance.

I have checked the bushes I have! they don’t have slit too but on their website instructions if no slit than you cut from a certain location.

Thank you for your reply.
I am waiting for a week with sunny forecast to get under it, don't want to rush.
If you manage to do it before I do, would be much appreciated if you could report about your experience. Thank you

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
Sorry to dig up an old thread - but I have the same issue
(Nobody came back to update with the outcome of their issue)
I have a 2017 Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6 Blue HDI.
The anti-roll bar bushes are old and cracked. Is it physically possible to replace just the bushes, or does the whole bar need replacing?
AutoDOC claims to sell bushes that are compatible (TED41620) But I don't know if the metal bush holders are sealed units or if they open up like normal for the bush to slide out and be replaced.
If I need to replace the whole bar, can it physically be wriggled out from the side of the vehicle (with some up/down/forward/backward movement), or does the subframe have to be dropped to get access?
Why does a £20 job cost £500+ on a Citroen??

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
Ok - so the roll bar bushes are a sealed unit and do not come out with unscrewing like a normal roll bar bush.
You'd been to cut the metal cover to access the bush, replace then re-weld.
This would mean the anti-roll bar would likely need to be fully removed to do this safely.
Has anyone tried using polymer resin to pack and 'repair' the worn bushes whilst still on the vehicle, to help them last longer?

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
If you apply a bit of lubricant such as washing up liquid to the bar, will the bushes complete with bracket just slide off the ends of the bar ?

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
Potentially, I'm not sure if the bend and end would allow the bush to move past it.PaulC5 wrote: 10 May 2026, 12:09 If you apply a bit of lubricant such as washing up liquid to the bar, will the bushes complete with bracket just slide off the ends of the bar ?
Even if possible, you'd still be stuck with a bracket and bush stuck inside, so either cutting the bracket and re-welding once bush replaced - or finding and replace with a compatible full bracket.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
From your photos it looks as if the bushes are just rubber inside the metal bracket so I would suspect once slid off the bar they can be prised out of the bracket and similarly forced back in without having to cut the bracket. Again washing up liquid or other lubricant would help.
