C5 Aircross: How to check if firmare/software updates are available (gearbox, engine,...)?

Hi there,

I have updated / installed all recent updates for the navigation systems but I wonder how to check if anything else has outstanding updates (e.g. gearbox firmware, ECU,...)?

Is that somehow possible without driving to the dealer?

No,

ECU software updates - if essential, will be undertaken at a dealer service, but otherwise, and unless required should be left alone as an update in one ECU can have a knock-on effect on another ECU.

These are only usually required if there is a known issue, as recorded in a technical bulletin, where a specific update is recommended on a specific engine with a specific fault.
