Hi All,
Help me pleeeeeeease.
Re: Citroen C4 GrandPicasso HDi SemiAuto 2015 vintage
During cleaning up the contacts on the Battery fuse array I stupidly did not note the wiring order on 2 of the connections.
The connections are the 30 and 40amp on the righthand side in the Image 1 I have attached.
Image 2 is a closeup showing markings that may or not be of use.
From other topics I have read, the numbers on the fusebox body may be useful to ascertain the correct order of the wiring. Being, probably, 25 and 19. Please see Image 3 attached image.
Cheers Guy.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
Three things:
1) We don't know which of the many fuse boxes this is as you've zoomed in too close so I can't identify it. Take a picture showing the engine bay.
2) On the 2 connections in question, on the wiring sleeve there will be a wiring code printed every few inches.
Provide the codes for both the blue and yellow and the white wires.
3) Provide the VIN.

Hi Marc,
Thank you for your reply.
Three answers:

Images attached
2) On the 2 connections in question, on the wiring sleeve there will be a wiring code printed every few inches.

I cannot find any codes on the 2 wires. I peeled back the loom covering as far as I could and could only find a series of 15 dots repeated in 3 groups of 5. Please see attached images.
3) Provide the VIN
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I've attached an image as well.
The wire's colours are:
Blue and yellow
White and green
I hope this enough information.
Cheers, Guy.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
I'm sorry, but I just can't read the writing on the cables - it's all a blur.
I might of been able to assist with the wiring code, but I just don't have this engine diagram. As you obviously know now, the procedure categorically states to mark these before removal as the supplies differ from vehicle to vehicle.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
Marc,
There is no writing on the cables as I said in my reply:
“ I cannot find any codes on the 2 wires.
I peeled back the loom covering as far as I could and could only find a series of 15 dots repeated in 3 groups of 5.”
So you cannot get the engine diagram by using the VIN?
What’s the worst that can happen if I connect them using a best guess?
Guy.

No, sorry, I don't have this engine, so can't advise on which is which - because they can vary based on engine, model, type and variant equipment fitted like gearbox, and other options, so the connections and power requirements will vary.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
Hi Marc
Please bear with me here:
Essentially the battery fuse box is a buzz-bar with several fused outputs, including the two in question. Yes/No?
So it is not a big deal what order they are connected, besides the fuse capacity. Yes/No?
Whats the worst that can happen if I use the order the wires sit most comfortably?
Regards Guy

The supplies protection and management unit cuts the power supply to make the vehicle safe in the event of a short-circuit. There are electronics incorporated into the unit.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
That doesn't really answer guyrws's question.
Speaking generally, I can't fault your reasoning. With a bus-bar, the point of connection is irrelevant. Providing you're sure that the two(?) disconnected cables are next to each other and of the same fusible link rating I can't see a problem. Even if one is, say, 30A and the other 40A the worst that would happen is that the lower rating will blow under load.
Just my 2p's worth.

Re: Battery fuse array wiring ID problem
Well yes, I suggest it does matter where they're connected because of the insistence officially that these are recorded and reconnected correctly. If it didn't matter they wouldn't go to all the trouble of specifically stating it.
I assumed when I stated the inclusion of electronics that this would really of answered the question, but here's the inside of one to confirm:
