Front wishbone bushes

Unread post by Big Eb »

Afternoon all, was checking front wishbone and got the wife to roll back n forth and as she braked I noticed a bit of movement of the front wheel rocking back n forth in the wheelarch, was wondering if this would be the wishbone Bush knackered, and also could coincide with the issue of the steering jerking as you pull away under power, car off road atm, any ideas are welcome if someone has had similar issues.
Cheers Eb

Xantia P bushes when worn can give the symptoms you describe, they are at the rear end of the wishbones.

Yep, I've seen them, hopefully easy to replace, would silicone bushes be better or just stick to the original one, cheers

I would stay with rubber bushes from a known manufacturer, such as Febi, Lemforder, Sasic etc.

It is vital to fit the new bushes with correct alignment so that they are not stressed at normal ride height.
