Removing the rear seat

'73 GS 1220 club, sedan/saloon. How do I remove the rear seat? I've undone the two M5 bolts at the top of the seat back, on the parcel tray. This allows the seat to tilt forward ... not very helpful as the top of the seat is wider than the space between the pillars! Part #13 is labelled "Front spindle for hinge", but appears to be a bolt with a featureless round head.

No response from commenters! Apart from the few who actually comment on this part of FCF, there may also be even fewer who have taken the back seat out - I certainly haven't, so cannot suggest a solution. Other than welding something to the bolt head for greater purchase. But access and fire risk rear their heads.

bolts with a "featureless round head" are often a hinge pin....does it have an obvious thread on the other end.

I figured it out! The other side, and only that other side, has a bolt. A very strange bolt indeed ... 12mm hex head, some sort of non-standard 10mm thread, and the end section is a bulbous pin.

I got the seat out by removing that bolt, tipping the seat forward, and then lifting off the front-left corner to free the seat. Two-person job to get it out the door without scraping anything. Of course, after removing the seat, I find that one of the previous owners had slotted the left-side pivot point, removing the need for the bolt at all!

The car is much more spacious with the rear seat out. In an old GS sales brochure I saw an option for a seat with a removable back, labeled "maxi-coffre" ... would have been helpful!

Shared experiences! Well done - and thanks too, in the event I need to do same.
