Actually, I'm not sure the Adblue is cheaper - as it's used at a consumption rate much greater than the DPF additive:

DPF additive think is supposed to be 80,000 miles worth?? For my 1 litre added,

Adblue, tank holds 17 litres and the book suggests that's only 12,000 miles worth!

Thats correct Matt, also one horror story of using the wrong additive ,ive a mechanic friend who worked for volov he worked on trucks he said one young mechanic put 25L of add blue striaght in the fuel tank !! Cost 16k for a new engine , so whom ever claims using adblue in stead of Eolys are stupid & a disgrace to there profession

No problem, we can't all know everything!

It's been a big learning curve for me since picking up this blue 308, first interaction with adblue for me, so have been researching to try and build my knowledge!

Same as me when Polly came along - and not only needing to learn about Adblue with her either! It's been most rewarding and endlessly fascinating to learn how modern cars tick
