The extend version (Walker 83058 brand, black bottle with the number 4) isn't sold in my country, can I use Walker 80619 (the blue bottle, with the number 3 on it which is used for cars starting 2010.02 )

Afternoon,

Would you mind confirming the maximum refill volume for this one please? From reading back on here I think t's 3 litres maximum, and this is emptier than an empty thing.

VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] 2011 Berlingo B9, fitted with plastic tank 96 720 521 80 83

Sticker on the tank says EOLYS POWERFLEX

Looks like someone has been a bit tricky, and reset the tank in one place but not another, without actually filling it. Engine thinks there's 1800ml left, tank says 4ml and a bucketful of errors.

Correct, you need Powerflex additive. The quantity is not shown but you must put in at least 1 litre for topping up operation, so you may want to get a couple of 1 litre bottles and take it from there.

Hi,

Please can i check what Eolys i need for my car? It’s a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2014, blue hdi, 115 i believe.

VIN Number: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Is it a tank that needs refill or a pouch? And where can I buy this from please?

Many thanks in advance

You have a reservoir-based system and require Powerflex additive. Remember you can't just top this up - it MUST have the additive counter in the engine ECU reset or it won't know you have topped it up...

You can find plenty of sellers from the likes of NEO brothers, or from sellers on ebay, but just make sure it states Powerflex on the bottle.

No problem, but you must top it up by at least 1 litre minimum.

Here I go, answering my own questions again. :)

I managed to find this, which has tank capacities listed for most common parts, https://www.franceauto.pl/how-many-litr ... -tank-hold

And a quick edit after the job,

The tank on my Berlingo comfortably takes 2 Litres from empty. However, Diagbox "knows" that the factory value for a fill is 1.07 litres, and refused to allow that to be changed.

Hi All

Can you possibly tell me what Eolys I need for my Citroen C4 Picasso 2014 1.6 eHDI? VIN Number: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
We're just coming up to the 100k point and, as far as I know, it's never been refilled and I want to get ahead of the game. Is there a (relatively) cheap way to check the fluid level (or rather what the car thinks that the level is)? It's due its annual service soon which I'll get done with a local garage or possibly Pro Tyre, what's the likelihood of them having the right equipment to view the data if I ask (assuming it is in fact viewable)? I might get them to refill/replace it if it's in its last legs anyway.

Thanks in advance.

You require Powerflex additive and you have a reservoir, not a pouch based system, so it is gravity fed from the refill kit.

The additive is not physically measured, only estimated and you must use a professional diagnostic tool to reset the additive counter to zero, otherwise the engine ECU won't know.

With a suitable diagnostic tool you can see how much fluid the engine ECU thinks is in the tank, but this is only an estimate.

You must refill a minimum of 1 litre.

Many thanks for the speedy reply 👍

Are most garages going to have the appropriate equipment to read and/or reset nowadays or will I need a specialist?

update on the C4grand Eolys saga
the car continued to show the warning - then changed to a more sever warning , and then an engine fault light , followed by a Particle filter may clog warning
its taken weeks to get into a Citroen garage to reset
they had the car all day today , and reset all the warnings and did whatever was necessary and not very forth coming , we just used our software to reset the car as needed when changing the fluid
so hopefully the car is now all good (after spent a fortune on it so far - full service/new tyres/new windscreen wipers/Eolys fluid ) and now a £132 scan and reset

anyway thats the news -
