Hi all
Despite following the BSI reset and anti-pinch window reset, the passenger window would only raise and close in small steps when operated from either the driver or passenger controls.
Driver window and rear windows working normally.
I've just tried silicone spray on the passenger window seals.
The window then raised in small steps but now will not open at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Can you hear the motor running when operating the switch - and are you saying it won't lower or raise? If so the regulator wire may have been rusty and may have now snapped.
Door card will need to come off for investigation, but if the wire has snapped and the motor is running, I'd be careful not to keep operating it as it can tangle the wire and jam. This being the case, it will need a new regulator wire mechanism - but really will need inspecting to determine.

Hi Marc
I've just tried it again.
This time the passenger window opened fully down in steps, then up in steps but stopped about 5cm from top and will not fully close.
Other windows working ok.

Also should have said passenger window will not go back down, either. So stuck open.

Tried again. Now passenger window opening and closing in steps - so back where I started, with window fully closed.
Infuriating - but at least I can leave it closed for now.

So first thing is to get some silicone oil spray (not WD40) and spray this into the window side channels, raise the windows up and down several times and spray liberally in the channels to ease motor strain.
Once it seems to be moving a little more freely, you can reset the anti-pinch: edge the window up on manual operation of the switch (don't use auto one-touch operation). Keep edging it up manually using the first position of the windows switch. When it gets to the top eventually, hold the switch fully up for a few seconds to reinitialise.

Re: Peugeot 308 SW T9 passenger window
Hi Marc,
I did all that earlier - with the result that the window got stuck open about 5 cm !
I'll leave it closed for now. Tomorrow, if visiting granddaughter allows, I'll connect the Diagbox and see if that has detected anything.
Thanks for your input and hope you have a good evening,
Cheers
