I want to maximise the hybrid/Battery functions on my C5 Aircross

Just charged the battery for 3 hours @ 10 amps to 90% and reached 17 miles (long way short of 35 miles claim). Im hoping to improve on the range

I read that its better to keep the charge between 30-90%

Is it better to completely discharge the hybrid battery before recharging or should i keep it charged as-and-when?

I notice by default it uses electric only and presumably switches to petrol once electric is exhausted. So I'm wondering what 'hybrid mode' actually means?

Does it "combine" electric and petrol power if you accelerate hard?

Any ideas?
