Hi.
Need help whit the issue described below.
The car lost power when driving on the highway. When I got home I checked the codes and there were a p0299 that relates to the turbo pressure. After checking all vacuum hoses I deleted the code and went for a drive with the lexia conn3cted, everything workt in order so I thought it was only a glitch.
But when I turned off the car a p0104 code come active. I have checked the wiring and cannot make this fault active when the car is running by wiggling the wires. Have also tried another MAF with no success. The car runs without issue during the test drives, no engine light.
Took a drive again with the Lexia connected and noticed that the Egr throttle valves copy values does not follow the reference value, but I don't get any code for this.
The previous owner told me that the throttle valve is changed for 20 000km before i bought the car.
When i activate the valve in the actuator test the valves does a complete stroke and seems to be working. But the feedback to the ecu seems wrong during parameter measurements during test drives.
Could this be the reason for the p0104?
Anybody have an idea what's going on?
What's the normal fuel consumption for this car. I got 6.5 liter/100km on the highway in 100km/h, is that normal?

I'm afraid there's no further information in the fault code data for these older engines - just the one-liner fault that you already have, sorry.

I forgot to mention that when I switch the engine off the rpm increases from idle, just when the engine dies.
Don't know if this is normal, but no other car I have does this.

Re: P0104 code, Citroen C5ii 2.2 hdi biturbo
Our 2007 C5 2.2 hdi occasionally gives P0299. I found the MAP sensor values did not change much and that it was was bunged up with oil. I cleaned it with carb cleaner but then got other codes so had to replace it. After this it accelerated quicker. The code was there again when I last used the code reader but I have not yet checked if the sensor is bunged up again.
I found the MAF sensor with the engine off gives about 4 g/s and on warm idle around 7 with occasional jump to about 15, cold around 11. Thinking the engine off value was a fault I fit another new MAF 2 years ago but it was the same and a search suggests this is normal for some cars. Recently it gave P0104 flowmeter signal - open circuit to positive or to earth of the sensor supply or the signal. I checked the wiring and connector to the MAF as best I could and waggled it about but did not find anything. Where the wiring clips to the air filter housing looks a bit prone to damage but moving the wires could not get the code to come back after clearing it and it would only come back driving. I then fit the old MAF sensor removed 2 years previously and P0104 did not come back. Your flow units of mg/cp I guess is mg per compression, if possible you might find it useful to change to g/s.
I have not noticed the engine rpm increasing when the engine is switched off.
Fuel consumption is typically about 45 mpg but it is not used for lots of short trips, so similar to your value of 6.4 l/100 km.

Thanks for your answer. Will check uf the map sensor is clogged.PaulC5 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2024, 13:17 Our 2007 C5 2.2 hdi occasionally gives P0299. Regarding the egr throttle opening control and egr throttle position copy. Should these values align when driving the car?
