I'm pondering a 304 cabriolet/convertible but before I take the plunge I have a few questions
Is there a "good' source of parts? We have a Citroen GS and Fiat 600, both of which are quite well looked after in terms of parts but I don't know the world of old Peugeots.
Is there a recognised 304 specialist somewhere?
I've heard mention of Darius or Darus in the context of 304s. Is he the man I am looking for? Anyone got his contact details?

Here are a few examples, very few for sale in the UK.
I used to work on these cars back in their day, but I’m now long retired. The only “Old School” Peugeot guy I can think of that is still working is Dean Hunter, www.peugeotparts.co.uk. He is a Peugeot Boffin, he will certainly have plenty of parts. I’ve known and used him for many years, good guy.
Like all old classics rust could be a problem, I would suggest you go for one that has been restored. Unless you have the skill and facilities for a bare shell strip down. Engines are reasonably reliable, or were? If it’s got “tappet rattle” it will mean excessive wear of the camshaft and rocker arms. The head and block are aluminium so can suffer with corrosion.
The hood is the most important part of a cabriolet, so make sure it’s been replaced.
Take your time, do some research, good luck.

Thanks for the reply, hadn't seen the blue one in London.
Prices seem to range from £1.5k (without floor) to £15k (restored one with 106 GTI in it). As you say, not many about but then there never were many in RHD. I'm not up for a full rebuild job but am quite familiar with rust which is a predominant feature on our Citroen GS. I might go and look at the silver one (with an epoxied floor??) but it seems that much has been spent on the interior which for some unknown reason rings a few alarm bells. I suppose one that has been done to a reasonable standard could be had for £10k ish. I need to take my time.
