Parking Sensor Fault

Unread post by Syko6288 »

Evening all

1st post after joining this Forum as not much help from various social media pages.

Sorry for the long winded post bit hopefully get some help I need

Have a parking sensor fault on my 2015 C4 Grand Picasso

Had it read with Lexia and came back as left rear inner

So 1st purchase I got a new non genuine sensor , replaced it and then erased code using Lexia again.

Popped in first and sensors worked , popped in reverse and fault came back

Swapped inner left and right over , fault still there

I them got a used Genuine sensor with same part number and the same happens again

I've looked over the loom wiring and pulled trims off in boot to eye over the module but no visible damage

Were abouts would people suggest to look or whay to try next ?

Thanks

Hi, and :welc: to the Forum.

Does the fault remain as the left rear inner, or does it follow the sensor? If the fault remains 'aimed' at the left rear sensor it is either the loom (and I include the plugs here) or the ECU.

Yeah the fault stays on that specific sensor

Next step would have been the loom and then module / ecu after that one

Thanks for reply

So in this case to clarify, this will be number 6 on the diagram
picasso rear park sensor.png
(6) Interior left rear proximity transmitter sensor

The whole system gets deactivated if even one sensor is faulty.
