Xantia rear brakes
Hi, just changed rear brake pads and discs. I now have no pressure at the rear brakes! no fluid coming out of either nipple, any ideas? could it be air in the system? thanks in advance Terry.

Re: Xantia rear brakes
To get fluid flow in the rear brakes, 1 of the 2 cases below must be true:
1. The suspension is set to normal or medium high and the rear wheels are on the ground with the weight of the car on the suspension.
2. The suspension is set to the highest setting.

Re: Xantia rear brakes
tried both high and medium to high settings rear wheel on the ground, the fluid moves down the bleed tube very slowly with no pressure behind it.

Re: Xantia rear brakes
Car on high, engine running wedge down the brake peddle, loosen then close the bleed nipple, apply a length of hose to the nipple (clear) into a jam jar, open the bleed nipple/allow some flow/ / no bubbles/close.

Re: Xantia rear brakes
Job sorted. The rear of the car was not quite getting to the top on the high setting. So the valve was’nt opening and no flow. Cleaned the rear height adjuster and alls good
bleed rear brakes, excellent, thanks all.
