...and another Renault Wind Spot for the thread on Sunday. Its been a pretty good Renault Wind Spotting Season, one a month since April, and what a joy, this months spot is a White one, to add to the collection.
They are rare enough to be an occasional and notable spot, but not so rare that there is no chance of seeing one.
They are the car spotting equivalent of the Kingfisher or the Dolphin.
No point being miserly with the photos, here are the full set of shutter clicks.

Re: All things Renault Wind
Nice looking car, but even if I was actively on a search for a car, I would never buy a black one, although it does look good. Maybe its the childhood trauma of my Dad buying a hideous old-fashioned black Morris Cowley out of a scrapman's field to replace our much loved first ever car the Ford Anglia.
You know about these things Mick, looks to like it is a trade only auction, and buyers premium at 18% plus VAT on cars over £1000 looks steep.
from the guff...
NeilTHIS IS A TRADE ONLY AUCTION - AND YOU ARE DECLARING YOURSELF AS BIDDER BY WAY OF TRADE
and the T's and C'sYou expressly acknowledge and agree that you are not a consumer but a trade purchaser and as such it is fair and reasonable for us to exclude, restrict or limit our obligations and liability to you in respect of the lots we offer for sale on behalf of sellers or ourselves.
The Buyer acknowledges that this is a 'trade only' auction sale where bidders may be on-line or in person and as such is NOT a consumer sale for the purposes of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (which replaced the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994)) and the Unfair Contract Terms Act Regulations 1977 / 1999 and the Buyer shall not seek to rely upon any conditions or warranties implied thereby.

Re: All things Renault Wind
Morris Leslie, The UK Northerly Classic Auction have a sale today starting at 11.00 am. at Errol Airfield in between Perth and Dundee.
I will be taking a window shoppers interest in the Renault Wind lot number 778. There's a few decent reasons to depress the hammer price. Not much of a population of buyers for it, high mileage at 127,500, been laid up for a year, no MOT, on at no reserve so if a bidding contest doesn't break out it could be sold for a bargain basement price.
Still as I read it to get it from the auction to your front door you will have to pay a minimum of £300 as a buyers premium, and an extra £30 for "livebid", plus transport. Could be down for £500-£600 in total before you consider what you are prepared to bid in the auction. On low hammer price lots under £2,000 selling and buying fees are a significant add on for buyers and take off for sellers. Meanwhile the auction house pockets commissions both ways.

You could post your problem up on the Renault Wind Forum. With it being a bit of a rarity first-hand knowledge is more likely from that source of Renault Wind Owners. This delightfully named section of that forum would seem to be the best place to ask for a bit of specialist advice.
Hope you sort itWind SOS

Bob has now sold his Wind and gone electric! as revealed by Mick here viewtopic.php?p=803862#p803862mickthemaverick wrote: 27 Mar 2023, 17:33 Bob has had it from new, 9 years, and it is the first car which he has had to have MOT's done since his Mk1 Cortina and HB Viva days....the Wind blew in and he hasn't looked back (there's no point you can't see anything) He absolutely loves it and he has had 52000 miles of trouble free fun, apart from a slight leak in the roof rectified by the dealer under warranty.
