Re: New purchase - C6
Hi everyone! Been a little while since my last entry in the forum. So what happened? I made a small trip over to Spain (Barcelona to be more exact) and headed over to see one beautiful C6. Well, it turned out to be more than beautiful when I went there. So what's in it? Well, a Petrol V6 with only 96,000 kilometres (Checked in CarFax) and possibly, what I believe the most equipped C6 I've ever seen. Manufactured in 2008, the owner bought himself the car for his retirement. The car has Lounge pack, Sunroof, Heads-Up display, Electrical steering column adjustment and Diamond Cut wheels. Issue was of course, being a foreign person, I didn't know spanish language, and we had a bit of a language barrier but we managed to come to a deal with the owner. The owner wouldn't let me take the plate numbers, so I had to put the car on car platform and have it delivered to my home country (Bulgaria). After a few days, I was back home and so was the car in one shape. The car currently has temporary registration, but in the next month, I will be getting a permanent one. And this is how it looks.
I've got to say, I'm extremely happy how things have turned out. The car is a joy to drive, you feel relaxed and it's so quiet inside, as well as, the engine is such a comfortable cruiser.
The C6 may very well be the best Citroen the brand has ever put out.

Very nice, another one that will be looked after and cared for by the sounds of it. I think this one may also have the motorised rear spoiler that extends when at higher speeds. The TVR seats are very nice indeed. The leather should come up nice if you get some good leather cream into them as I suspect the Spanish sun has worked its magic on them.
Looking forward to hearing your progress with her.

Yes! It definetely has the spoiler that extends. And also, the seats seem to be in extremely good condition. I believe the owner had the vehicle stored in garage almost all the time, because there is a tiny little damage on the back bumper, but other than that, there is not a single scratch when I'm taking a look.GiveMeABreak wrote: 16 May 2024, 22:06 Very nice, another one that will be looked after and cared for by the sounds of it. I think that if it were me, I'd treat it as a holiday and have a 2 week holiday in Spain and drive the car a lot. If anything is wrong it can go back to the dealer - if not then it should be fine for the drive back to Bulgaria.
PS Have the roads improved there yet? I drove from Sophia to Varna in 1992 and the hire car nearly fell to pieces!

Hello! The owner was a private seller, so no dealership. And unfortunately, there was in no financial way I could afford to stay more than a week, simply because I had to be working the next week in the officesteveclv wrote: 17 May 2024, 17:37 I think that if it were me, I'd treat it as a holiday and have a 2 week holiday in Spain and drive the car a lot.
