A) my '91 Escort had ABS on all four wheels (it did not, it was an early 2-channel system) and
B) they could not adjust the CO at idle on the same car, because "You can't adjust emissions on fuel injection, it's all done by the lambda sensor" (when in fact that era of car had no lambda sensor & the idle CO is in fact set by adjusting a potentiometer)
Just because something is so for the vast majority of cars, doesn't mean it's the same for all. I'd hazard a guess that they might've been more familiar with old Fords, and VERY behind the times Probably not a good idea to trust them to work on anything post-1990
