Citroen c4 2008 display

Hi everyone, I have a Citroen c4 2008 equipped with a type a display and I want to change it to a type c. I called a few local part guys near me who have a type c display and they have all asked me if the codes are matching so what do I have to look out if I buy a display like that. I plan to upgrade to an rd45 radio in the near future which I will also buy used local . (My vin number is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]) If you want I can also attach photos of the displays I have found for sale . Thanks!

It won't matter in your case as they are likely assuming this is for a replacement of the same screen. As you are planning to upgrade to RD45, of course the codes are not going to match up. Just make sure the screen has V72.2 or higher software.

You will have to VIN code the RD45 to your vehicle and may need to update some configuration using Lexia / Diagbox if and when you decide to upgrade, so be aware and you may also need an aftermarket microphone installed and wired into the correct pin location on the RD45.
