Looks like you’ve made that out of copper pipe - we know it’s a Time Machine …..that’s the only possible way you can do as much as you doCitroJim wrote: 28 Mar 2024, 17:22
My 40M amateur radio mag. loop aerial is now properly mounted, rather than just resting against anything handy as it has for the past 9 years!!!

Indeed, all made of copper pipe with an automotive ingredient - the 'G-Match' (the short thin pipe on the bottom right of the octagon) is made of a bit of kunifer brake pipe

Re: Citrojim's AX, Pixo, C3, Running and Cycling Tales
I almost have a viable Bluetooth conversion working on the XM radio...
It's a bit of a lash-up but already it works well. I'm getting the 5v supply for the Bluetooth receiver from the tape microprocessor supply and it's a bit noisy so I need to put some filtering in place. There's been a lot of work not obvious in this photo to modify the audio switching and preamplification circuitry to make sure both radio and Bluetooth give equal volume levels.
The big toggle switch to swap between Bluetooth and radio is less than ideal but currently only in place for test purposes.
Work continues as and when I have a bit of spare time.

Re: Citrojim's AX, Pixo, C3, Running and Cycling Tales
I'm presently very unwell and this has caused me to have to very reluctantly and sadly bail from Mick's Welsh Wander
And explains my absence from these parts recently...
All the gory details are here: viewtopic.php?p=796948#p796948
Feeling very miserable and in need of a bit of a perk-up on this sunny day there was only one thing to do...
It sort-of worked but there is now a downside to all of this...
Bluebell now self-identifies as a bike

You take care Jim. If there's anything you need or I can help with remember I'm just down the road so don't feel shy to shout.
While it's nowhere near as severe a case as yours (yet), I do also suffer from CFS, so do understand what flare ups can do to you. Also like you it's kicked me in the teeth several orders of magnitude more since contracting COVID the first time back in 2022(?). I think it was 22...think it must have been.
You know where I am and several ways to contact me. Don't be afraid to ask, even if it's just for someone to natter nonsense to for an hour.

Thanks Zel, that's really appreciated
Tried to be a bit more active today after initially feeling a little better. I have now suffered for it

I remain far from well and this one's going on longer than usual
Physically I'm improving but cognitively and mentally I'm in a very dark place. I'm reading the forum regularly but having difficulty formulating anything sensible to say in reply to any topics and long posts defeat me.
Only in the earl mornings am I reasonably OK and that does not last long...
Onwards and upwards... I look forward to recovery happening soon...
