Hi there. New member here. This may have been asked before but my 2009 C5 Exclusive 3.0l diesel came back from the repairers riding too high at the front, both sides. They have obviously had it up on a lifter (of course, they lowered it incorrectly and spilled hydraulic fluid from the under bonnet tank....took half a litre to top it up) but while they've been working on it, something changed.
My brother, who I purchased the car off, said they have probably done something to or knocked the ride height sensors....we are going to try to correct this tomorrow...but I was just wanting some info on the best way to do this.
We know it will have to be up on ramps which is fine, he has some....but the actual process we are a bit cloudy on. Any advice?
My C5 came back from panel beaters with the front riding too high.

Have a read through this thread.

REMEMBER - the car can drop suddenly so always use axle stands to protect yourself - unless you have good lufe insurance

Hai, sinds you have a V6, it means, that you have 4 height sensors.
It's not possible to adjust the height without the diagbox!!
But i also think, that they filled to much of LDS fluid.
So i wil start to put the car in the lower position and check the LDS level. You should see it just at the bottom, NOT higher.
Or with the diagbox choose "check the LDS level " and then the fluid must be between the mark.
But if one of the height sensors is given a fals reading, then it is not possible to correct the height of the car.
B.T.W. you didn't mention what they have repaired on the car.
Greetings,
Kees.

I would check if the lds fluid tank has split since this can happen if the car is raised off the wheels without first undoing its cap.
