Yours says:
Image

Vs the 308 SW says
Distance remaining before replacing DPF 000000!
Cinder count in the DPF 100%
Distance since lat regen 290km
Average for last ten regens 177km
Distance travelled since DPF replacement 192496 km (equates to current mileage 119 thousand-ish)
Additive pump OCR reference value 104.44% (not sure on this one, but beyond 100% would suggest bad news!)
Gosh yes Matt, yours looks a bit past its best :(

Shows what a complete plank I can be, I didn't even think of using 'Print Screen' to grab those shots  Honestly, I'm really not the sharpest tool in the box and sometimes I'm just a tool...

The laptop in question has no Bluetooth and I keep WiFi turned off by default so in truth, it's much easier to use my phone to take a quick photo of the screen and if necessary, crop it a bit...

One reason I keep the WiFi off is that I don't want it randomly updating itself. I've already found out my Diagbox software works faultlessly under the VMware V17.0 but fails to run under the latest VMware V17.5 so if the laptop is online and VMware decides to update itself then it could have unintended consequences. It's not used online in any way. I've not even run the Web browser on it, using instead SFTP from my Linux Server to upload the Diagbox software. The SFTP client (from a trusted source) I loaded from a USB stick...

Currently, it ain't broke so doesn't need 'fixing' with updates... Essential and critical security updates excepted perhaps.

Ah, see I've gone a step further, my "car laptop" a Windows 7 machine flat out will not go online:

I have never used a virtual machine so I didn't want the added complication of learning how that works as well as trying to get my head around DiagBox too!

I have WiFi switched on, but it doesn't know the password of any network, so can't actually connect. I thought WiFi turned off caused issues for DiagBox - it picked up the WiFi board / connection was off (but fooled somewhat by connection on but not able to pick a network)

Didn't think of Print screen: No problem, it's only obvious if you think of it :) I've tried taking phone pictures of the screen but seems to have a low success rate of actually getting them legible! Glare, out of focus, just generally a bit naff! Did do a video via phone off laptop screen when I had the "runs for fraction of a second" nightmare on the C5.

Dead DPF: yes it looks to have had it! Think £106 is a bargain really. I've had the DPF on the 206 off many times in the past (including just as it obstructs removal of one of the gearbox bell housing bolts = design fail) and so at least am aware of the task on the horizon! Access looks a little bit less narrow on the 308, so might be a walk in the park...

Having no WiFi seems to cause Diagbox no worries at all Matt, it moans if you stray into bits of it where it needs to be online or when it does an occasional check for updates, but for all normal diagnostics it does not care at all :) In fact, running it in a virtual machine means it cannot see any WiFi even if the real OS WiFi is on unless you map the WiFi across to the virtual machine.

My phone seems to take quite good photos of the laptop screen...

Yes, that was an excellent deal on a new DPF :) A proper bargain!

Saw this image while walking along the Riverside path to the Plessey Viaduct and clicked the shutter.
Bit Citrojim-ey I thought.

This popped up in my Facebook memories today. I posted it 8 years ago...
MetroTand GT500.jpg
Me in 1986 astride my Suzuki GT500 with my almost brand-new MG Metro Turbo in the background...

The image is a scan of a scan of a little photo, back in the days when a processing lab produced a print with one normal sized image two passport-sized images. The scan is from one of the latter, hence the poor quality. The original has long since disappeared, as has 99.9% of all my pre-digital photos :( The result of very chaotic and catastrophic times in my life between the late 90s and late-noughties

I treasure this little picture...

That's the one Matt :D

Late this afternoon, after I'd completed all my other tasks, mainly, but not limited to, parkrun and TT racing admin, the latter especially as we are now just about a month away from our first race of the season, I tested one of the NE5532 preamps in my XM Radio project...
20240313_171553.jpg
A bit scruffy but it's just a proof of concept. The proof is good, it works brilliantly in the radio path, giving as much maximum volume as the original failed preamp/Dolby module would. So, stage 1 is a compete success.

Next time I have a bit of spare time, hopefully tomorrow, I'll see how a second one will work as a tape head preamp...

If that works, my next part of the project will be to try adding Bluetooth functionality to it...

I have loads of Triple Print prints here, despite working in a photostudio and being able to print my own stuff.
I have a vague recollection of the staff all going on strike and the business folding.

Thanks Alasdair :D Good work! I'm absolutely delighted both you and Neil have managed to breathe some new life into this little photo :D

Today I'm hoping to get more done on the XM radio project... More later...
