Hi,
After replacing the original but faulty advance solenoid (coded) with a non coded LUCAS solenoid, I can't start the car.
The new solenoid receives +12V correctly after I start the car with the key.
A diagnostic with PP2000, shows this Default :
ECU Engine / Permanent Fault. Pump Module locked.
Tried to remove F2 fuse : issue is still there.
Is there any way to fix this issue ?
Thanks.

I take it you mean the stop solenoid and not the advance solenoid, the advance solenoid is different & its not coded to the car.
I would imagine that it will always log a fault if the original unit has been removed, have you tried plugging the original faulty one back into the harness & secure it in the engine bay to see if it gets rid of the warning?

Yes, you are right. I meant the stop solenoid, the one which is protected with a hard piece of metal cover.
The issue is that the pump module is now locked.
I can not put the original solenoid back as it has been torn during the removal process, so it is not usable anymore...

Is the immobiliser light flashing & making the annoying beep?
Not really sure that you could trick it without plugging in a stop solenoid to the original harness, its more than just a stop solenoid, it is actually a mini ECU & also communicates.

No light flashing, no annoying beeps.

If its not causing any issues or warnings just best to leave it alone.

Hi,
I was going to crank the engine dry because my car sat for a long time in a garage. I couldn't find a way first to disconnect the valve stop solenoid on the Lucas pump so I proceeded to the engine compartment fuse box where I removed fuses 25 and 26. Ignition turned on normally and the engine even turned for a revolution or two but then stopped. When I tried again there was some annoying beeping sound and most of the lights on the instrument cluster were flashing. This stayed even when I put both fuses back into place.
What do you believe happened and did I roast my car?
Thanks

Might sound obvious but have you put the fuses back in the correct positions?
Many fuse boxes have empty spaces for equipment that may not be fitted to your car.

Yes, I made sure that I've put each fuse back in the right slot. One was a 10A and the other one was 30A.
