2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
Hello, wondering if anyone can help, I have a Citroen c4 grand Picasso 1.6 bluehdi with the faults P16A7 - control of the crankcase fumes heater and P2047 - control of the urea injector.
I’ve measured the resistance of the urea injector and is ok, I’ve chased the wiring back to the ecu and that all looks ok and buzzes out to the ecu plug but I can’t seem to get voltage to the plug of the urea injector.
Also tried unplugging what I think is the crankcase fume heater? And connect a 21w lamp in the plug with again no results, just shows both urea injector and crank case heater open circuit on diagbox.
I’ve trawled the internet with little results on rectification of these fault codes. Wondering if anyone would be able to shed some light on this fault

Hello, has there been any updates on this issue? I’ve got a similar issue with the codes P16A7 and P2047 On a 2016 Citroen c4 grand Picasso bhluehdi

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
Hi, The P2047 suggests an Adblue Injector fault as mine. I've not seen P16A7 which Googling suggests is to do with the Airflow Sensor? Hopefully someone else can get the proper definition. I think that usually just changing the Injector solves P2047, but in my case I think it damaged the driver circuit in the engine's ecu. So even though I've fitted a new Injector my car still shows it as open circuit. I also checked the wiring to the injector and it seems fine.Ste2187 wrote: 26 Feb 2024, 16:27 Hello, has there been any updates on this issue? I wouldn't waste too much time googling fault codes.
1) You don't have the additional 2 digits at the end which further refines the fault to the system.
2) Constructor Fault codes can vary between engine management systems, so important to relate the complete fault code to the specific vehicle.

Hi Marc,
Quite right about the codes, open circuit on the injector is P2047 00 for my car. My reply wasn't quite finished when I accidentally hit "return" which submitted the post before I finished typing.

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
Thank you for the quick response, does anyone know where the crankcase fume heater is? i thought it was connected to the hose tht is connected to the rocker cover on the front of the engine..
i'll have a work through the suspect areas and see what i find, one thing i have just noticed is that diagbox is saying that the engine coolant temperature is 3036 degrees C.............. its strange as i dont have any warning lights on saying engine over temperature (would have melted the car at that point) and has crossed my mind that maybe that has something to do with it too ?

Sorry i didnt realise the importance of the last 2 digits......GiveMeABreak wrote: 26 Feb 2024, 18:41 I wouldn't waste too much time googling fault codes.

P16A7 13
P2047 00
Also my engine coolant temperature is reading 3036 degrees C........

Not too sure what has happened with the thread, but in any case they are together now as they are related to the same issues.
I have already put up the code descriptors earlier in this thread:

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
The connecting pipe between the rocker cover and the turbo inlet pipe appears to have a heater in it - who knew?!? However, I would be suspicious of 2 seemingly unrelated items having an open circuit fault at the same time, I would be looking for a missing power supply or faulty earth somewhere first.

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
Anyone know if the engine coolant reading 3036 degrees C would be linked? it that the engine coolant sensor and cranckcase fume heater connected to that 1320 block?
is that 1320 the engine ecu?
also measured the resistance of said crankcase fume heater and pin to pin measures 19.7ohms which again i am not sure is correct or not.
i think i need to purchase a workshop manual and wiring diagrams......

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
The diagram is for the 308 and yes, 1320 is the engine ecu, but it doesn't (as far as I can see) show the supply arrangement/fuses for the injector.
I had previously assumed that there wouldn't be a separate supply for just the Adblue injector and as I had only the one fault, that in my case it was an internal failure in the ecu.
Note that I would assume that the injector would be driven at 12V. So does anyone know if it is driven at 12V and is there another diagram that shows supplies to the engine ecu?

Re: 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso P16A7 and P2047
I've just gome through all the fuses in the engine bay fusebox and found F4 (5A) was blown. I could not find any reference to this fuse on the web, but my Adblue injector now works!
So looks like the fault with the C4/Picasso is also a blown fuse. Probably a different fuse number and rating compared with my 2015 308.
Note that my fuse blew due to a short-circuit injector, so if your's has blown, it will be worth checking why.
