Hi from West Wales.

Unread post by Daibach »

Greetings to all. I have just bought a 2013 Citroen C4 VTR+ 1.6 VTi hatchback. Done 71000miles. My first Citroen ( if you don't count the 2CV I had in France for a couple of months in the early 1960's). I like the car so far, but I am finding the pedal spacing a bit difficult to get used to ( I had a Focus before this one, with no problems). Has anybody got any advice as to the best seating position to overcome this difficulty?

Hi and welcome

Some of these smaller vehicles do have terrible pedal spacing (or the lack of it to be honest) which I've been caught out on with the clutch / brake pedals when driving some of these historically. Short of getting plastic surgery to remove a few toes, maybe a narrower shoe?

"Narrower Shoe"-- a good idea, I'll try that. I suppose I'm experiencing the joys of wearing trainers, which seem to assume everyone has wide long feet. And of course the situation is not helped by excessive gear changing and braking caused by our 20mph speed limits here in Wales, which I am sure you are familiar with.

Indeed, don't get me started on the people responsible for that little gem :lazer:
