Looks like a lovely place for a trail run
I could do a fair few laps of that lake and positively enjoy it

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Neil, I recognise that picture but cannot think where from, has it been on the forum before? I just checked our Penine Ride and the September Stroll but it's not in either of those!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I posted it originally on the virtual March Meander here. Taken by my friend Mark and posted today to mark a special day for Mark and his family and friends.mickthemaverick wrote: 19 Feb 2024, 17:11 Neil, I recognise that picture but cannot think where from, has it been on the forum before? To keep the thread up to date without any photo action today here's one from my archive. Anyone tell me the city TOH?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It's the city where in a long running US TV show of 263 episodes in 11 series, only one was filmed in the city. That episode titled "the 1000th show" was the only one filmed in the city where the show was written to be "set".mickthemaverick wrote: 20 Feb 2024, 19:48 To keep the thread up to date without any photo action today here's one from my archive. A obligatory visit to this location was part of that single show filmed in its "home" city.

Pike Place Fish Market
Niles and Frasier have an apparently uneventful journey until they reach the obligatory Pike Place Market scene. While passing the famous Pike Place Fish Market—the one where the fishmongers throw fish to each other—Niles gets hit by passing seafood and spills his half-caf cappuccino with a dash of cinnamon (this is a big deal) on Frasier’s suede shoes. This, of course, will not do, so they set out to buy new shoes.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Unsurprisingly you have identified it correctly Neil and, judging by the detail, methinks the dark arts may have been involved. Given that to be the case my obvious question has to be did you know the city or discover that from research about the market?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I would never of guessed it was from Frasier! Super hard photo that one. The lack of a Jack Russell made it harder

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I guessed it would be on your US trip mentioned before on the forum. I am a big Frasier fan and have watched every single episode, and most of them many times including "The 1000th Show" episode but didn't realise that it was the only one actually filmed in Seattle. In theory I could have matched up the episode footage with your pic, but no it was an after the event recognition.
Unless you had actually been to Seattle, I think you would have waited some centuries before someone correctly guessed it by chance
Neil

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It is a fact that a fair proportion of the residents we spoke to believe that Frasier didn't do them any favours for two reasons a) the series had represented them as either snobs or idiots and b) they have been invaded by nosey tourists ever since!
