My neighbour has handed me the EGR valve from his 15 308 1.6hdi and asked me to 'test it'. Its a Pierburg unit as used on many peugeots and citroens, I think the OEM references would be 1618LN, 1702178, 36001487.
I've looked hard but cant find a technical sheet. Its obviously motor or solenoid operated , connector has 5 (numbered) pins. pin 2 to pin 4 shows a resistance of 21 ohms all other pins show 'open' The valve is in the closed position and there is only exhaust soot not the 'oily goo' i would expect. I think its shot but can anyone direct me to a spec/technical sheet?

Not really, these really need replacing when they start to go. Citroen don't provide specs of the modules.
