C6 cruise control problems
Does anyone know why this is such a common issue? IVe been told to whack the steering column, extend and retract it and ignore it but surely there’s a known fault and remedy? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: C6 cruise control problems
Not heard of this being an issue here, but short of it being the actual cruise switch control, it can be disabled for a multitude of reasons as detected by the engine ECU. We'll need any fault codes picked up and the VIN fo you want some specific help with the fault codes if present.

Re: C6 cruise control problems
It's a common fault and one of mine is exactly the same. I just haven't gotten around to sorting it!
It's a connection fault on the back of the Comm unit. The cables are pulled a little tight against the steering column and the connections get a little compromised. It can be fixed by removing the lower half of cowl and relieving the tension on the cables or adding some length to the wires. Taking the bottom half of the cowl off is a little bit of a challenge but can be done with care and patience.
