Another years MOT on the little white bathtub.....not bad for a 29 year old (30 this year !)....good PASS. One small hole noted (50pence sized) in the middle of the inner wing, very strange ! MoT man said "cleanest" (underneath) car he has seen for ages. It will take about 1/2 hour to sort.

The battle of the ACTIVA Brake Caliper and Disk Upgrade...............LATEST News from the front line................

No advance yet, Activa Brake Caliper forces maintain a stubborn defence.....

The covering Caliper Units have been defeated and removed from their covering block positions, the Handbrake-Cable troops have retracted fully from the battle..... but the main Activa Brake Caliper Carrier forces "hold the line" with well dug in twin Star Drive Bolts preventing advance of the well armed Disassembly Forces.

Disassembly Forces have so far used 2 x cans of AC90 Penetrant and suffered the catastrophic loss of a T-55 "Star Drive" assault socket.

Plans are being developed for the deployment of specialist assault Flame Thrower Units as soon as the protection of friendly Drive Shaft Boot forces can be arranged.

Sadly, explosives are not at present available......so Fire it is......but only after the deployment of heavy artillery in the form of a Lump Hammer battery being deployed to attacking positions.

(Free T-55 Assault Socket replacement will be obtained from our Allies at Halfords)

Map-Gas forces advanced behind the dug in defending StarBolt forces and with the deployment of a unit of Firebrick barrier troops to protect friendly Drive Shaft boots success was achieved with the rebel Carrier Bolts withdrawing completely......Lump-Hammer artillery and the DeWalt special forces being the deciding factor.

V6 Brake caliper and carrier now fit..... a VERY worthwhile upgrade to any ACTIVA.

Just watch out when you do an emergency stop. People may believe you hit an invisible brick wall.

Is it one of the "standard" (i.e. not black "impact quality" ) type from their sets? - 3/8" drive. If so, I've snapped three of those so far! I have bought a cheap set of impact quality Torx bits, each bit is (10mm?) Hex and fits in a half inch adapter - but most importantly as yet I've not smashed one of these impact type to bits!

(Still worth getting your free replacement obviously, and the 3/8" drive is much handier for general use)

Come on Jim - a few crash stops and they'll be as shiny as yours (or maybe shinier - don't disk rotors rust if your cars sit outside unused? Mine do...).

Just a quick note, if it's not 'black' it's not suitable for impact applications
