BSI problems I think?

Re: BSI problems I think?
I have a question about the BSI reset procedure. My Citroen expert advises turning the lights on BEFORE reconnecting the battery to absorb any possible current surge which might fry the the BSI, which makes sense. The process described here involves turning the lights on AFTER reconnecting the battery. If I turn them on before, will I interfere with the BSI reset?

I don't think that it would do any harm, but the lights are electronically controlled by the BSI, so won't actually absorb any initial spikes.

I would always reconnect a battery with the absolute minimum load so everything switched off. I have never switched on the lights either though as part of a reset procedure, its just not the way i have always done it. I have done it this way literally hundreds of times without any issues.

Thanks for the advice. I'll go with your suggestions, which also seems to be what Citroen/Peugeot recommend.
