So how many screws are needed to secure the heater matrix tube?

I see online 1 in the middle, middle and under and all 3

If I remember this job correctly it can be confusing? there is one screw in the middle of the main pipe, THREE holes where it fits to the matrix but only TWO screws fitted at the factory?? When I fitted a new matrix and "O" rings I used an extra screw. Why there is three holes and two screws?? don't ask.
