Are those photos taken in your yard? The other Citreons peeked my interest.

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

I did wonder if it was yours but there's no 'Im a cyclist whose blocking the roads off so us cyclists can have fun' sticker on the rear window..

I believe the Red Activa in the background could be Alasdair's and I'm guessing the Picasso may be a neighbour's or the chap who owns the blue one's!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

The Taffy-Tiva has arrived today........another Citroen to try and save.
2ltr TCT Activa, 1997 R reg (I like R reg cars
)
A fair amount of work needed on the rear end I think......but it runs, handbrake works and (outwardly) there is no rust, which is a good start--I HATE rust !

A damn good start Alasdair, if only they made them in Auto!!

That would be pointless in a Activa IMHO....standard HA is fine for those Xantia with an AutoBox.

What's going on with the wheels? Looks like a cheap copy of a matchbox car from Poundland with wheels that slide from side to side.

I totally agree Alasdair but I thoroughly enjoyed my Activa and would love another one that doesn't need a usable left leg!!Stickyfinger wrote: 03 Feb 2024, 16:10 That would be pointless in a Activa IMHO....standard HA is fine for those Xantia with an AutoBox.

Find yourself a good V6 Automatic Mick. A well-sphered and sorted Hydractive Xantia is a brilliant all-rounder that handles almost as well as the Activa..mickthemaverick wrote: 03 Feb 2024, 21:39I totally agree Alasdair but I thoroughly enjoyed my Activa and would love another one that doesn't need a usable left leg!!Stickyfinger wrote: 03 Feb 2024, 16:10 That would be pointless in a Activa IMHO....standard HA is fine for those Xantia with an AutoBox.![]()
I've had both - three of each so I speak from experience. And I've owned a V6 XM... Same drivetrain and suspension and lovely, just too big for me.
The ES9J4 and 4HP20 combo can be surprisingly good on fuel too.
Technically, you could convert a V6 Activa to an auto but it's just not worth it...
