C4 Picasso Service Light After Fuel Fill

Post by KDM »

Hi.

I have a C4 Picasso Diesel. After I fill up, I drive away from the forecourt, no problem, but it's been reported that the SECOND time it's started after a fill-up, the service light comes on.

I've also noticed that even when I brim it, the fuel gauge doesn't always read maximum.

Any ideas what the problem might be and ... importantly, how much to fix it?

Any thoughts, please?

If the service light comes up and nothing else then it could be all sorts of things and may be nothing to do with filling up. Look in the handbook which might give some possibilities which might range from low battery voltage to brake pad wear.

You'll need to get it scanned, but my guess would be some sort of issue with the Eolys additive tank.

Where is the (pouch?) located on a C4 Picasso (not Grande). Is this in the handbook? Thanks!

Only a pouch up to 2011, refillable tank after that. Needs resetting on a diag computer, Def not in the handbook!!

Under the car at the rear next to the fuel tank just in front of the wheel, usually behind some plastic covers. MK1 is on the right hand side, MK2 left hand side.
