C1 Mk 1 HDi Brakes

Hi all....brake warning light (not ABS) came on yesterday: checked fluid level and it was down, topped up and drove 20 miles and it came on again, with fluid loss similar to before....checked underneath this morning and found no obvious leaks. Pedal is not too bad but does sink down to the floor very gradually, but no hissing noise and no pulling to either side under braking......I'm thinking my master cylinder has given up the ghost - your opinions?

Fluid could be leaking inside the rear brake drums so might not be obvious. I guess you have checked all the brake hoses, the brake master cylinder in the footwell and at the servo as well as the clutch master and slave cylinders in the footwell and at the gear box end for leaks.
