Hello to all, I have a wierd problem with my c5 2009 head light.... It only comes on when turning left.
Bit of background information.
I have had the auxiliary belt changed after it snapped and the problem seems to have occurred since then the battery was dead after struggling to get it home about a mile and half drive and had to be jumped after the belt was installed. Not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your time, Danny.

Re: C5 headlight
C5s are prone to faults with a weak battery. If it's over 5 years old then it's end of service life and needs replacing. The electronics on these are very sensitive to having correct power requirements and will exhibit problems if you have a battery in poor health.
That's where I would start and when replacing it follow this guide: BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure
The power steering on the 2.0 litre uses an electro pump, so the steering is entirely electrically operated from the battery directly. so when you turn the wheel. it may be pulling what little power you have to operate the steering as well as everything else.

Re: C5 headlight
Thank you for your reply I thought maybe there was a power problem as it was directly after the belt replacement and the battery having to be jumped. Thank you again Danny.

Re: C5 headlight
It is still possible there is something else going on, but if you know the battery to be 5 years or older, then I'd certainly be changing it first to eliminate electrical problems. Then if problems remain, get a diagnostic done with a Lexia / Diagbox and pop up any codes here, with your VIN.
