My Citroen Berlingo Romahome Duo, Engine, 2001, 1.9D (1868cc) DW series WJZ is in need of replacing because things like conrods and pistons and rings are very hard to find.
What other engines would fit like say a Peugeot Partner 1.9D ?
I've looked at one on ebay with 190,000 miles on it ! No thanks.
Can I fit something a bit newer and still work with the basic onboard computer (Mechanical fuel injection, no electrics involved.)
I'm in danger of losing the lot for the want of spares !
Any wise heads with advice would be much appreciated, reliable scrap merchants or Berlingo spares outlets ?
Thank you.

Re: Engine transplant
Can you not just drop in a Re-Con engine?

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.
