I have a 2012 C5 X7 1.6HDI VTR+ DV6C VIN VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] which I have not long owned and recently it had a problem with an injector (no.2) that shorted the solenoid and was replaced and the correct code was entered into the Engine ECU.
I have noticed that there is two leaks of exhaust fumes upon starting. It is likely these leaks were already there as when I bought the car, a short on the common rail fuel pressure sensor caused the car to start and die. I noticed smoke from the front of the engine bay. When I replaced the fuel pressure sensor the car ran so I used it for work.
When checking for leak off pipe leaks after replacing the Injector my attention was drawn closer to these exhaust gas leaks that I wish to cure.
1) The leak is at the joint of the the Cat and the DPF. I have bought part no 16066 665 80 from Citroen. This looks different to the part no 1797 76 I saw on Catcar.info
I have only one metal gasket and a clamp and a 400mm length of glossy sticky paper with 4 sticky mastic lumps equidistance apart. The length of the paper is less than the circumference of the gasket/clamp.
Do you have fitting instructions available for this part please?
Looking at the Catcar.info part it shows A+B+C which are two gasket rings and the clamp/bracket. This kit definitely only has one metal gasket ring. How do I know which way to fit it?
Am I short of one part or have they changed the design? Is it possible to check I have been sold the correct pack. The QR code just confirms that it is an original part. It says KIT FAP DV6E5.
2) The second leak appears to be coming from Injector 2. The Bolt was not absolutely tight. My intention is to remove and refit a new washer after cutting a new seat. Can exhaust gases blow past these injectors?
I would appreciate any help from members.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 DV6C Exhaust Gas leaks
First thing is DON'T use Catcar.info. They are using a 15 year old out of date old database not sanctioned by PSA.
Your upgraded membership here allows you to request from us official parts info from the live PSA servers, so you know you are getting up to date info as of the date of the request.
Back to the part issue and the for the reasons stated above, Catcar.info have an old part number no longer used.
The correct part is (19) 1606666580 that you have correctly bought.
The diagram above should provide info on how it all goes together.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 DV6C Exhaust Gas leaks
Thank you for the prompt reply.
The part you have highlighted shows Gasket B and Gasket C. I only have one gasket so I am presuming that I am missing one.
I will call the Citroen Dealer in the morning.
Regarding the 4 blobs of mastic would I be correct in assuming that they are used for sealing the joint?
I have seen you post up fitting instructions.
Are there any for this task?
Just an aside. I noticed that Amazon Bot and Yandex Bot are both viewing this page as I type. Amazon control enormous web servers and may be storing everything off the internet.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 DV6C Exhaust Gas leaks
The item (19) is called a kit, as it clearly shows items 'a', 'b' & 'c' are included on the official parts diagram. So if you don't have all 3 parts, yes take it back and query it. They will have access to the same diagram as I have posted so should be able to confirm this.
There are no fitting instructions I have for this. Generally it is only the whole replacement of the entire unit.
I don't know what you are referring to regarding blobs of mastic, sorry.
Yes, bots are a normal operation and we allow limited access to the public forums only to ensure content if available from Google search and is used for advance searching of this forum, as the standard PHPBB Forum search is limited.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 DV6C Exhaust Gas leaks
Update:
The part apparently has been updated by Citroen hence the new part number. But they have not updated the diagram.
So now only two parts. Their service department confirmed this.
Regarding the smoke from injector 2. I have pulled it out. It was stuck in with a dirty plastic material caused by the letting by. I used a 1" spanner to twist it from side to side whilst gently pulling.
came out quite easily considering.
I need a new fork with new bolt, a new Injector holder, I already have a new copper washer.
The problem is going to be removing the dirty plastic material around the injector on the head. The dirty plastic material in the Injector hole and removing the copper washer which is firmly stuck.
How do I avoid dirt going into the Injector hole and into the engine?
I have an Injector Seat cutting tool set.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 DV6C Exhaust Gas leaks
They may well have kept the diagram as it will still be relevant to some other variations rather that produce a new diagram, just for a part change and also given that the X7 has not been in production for over 8 years, but the number for the part will be updated and is the same as the one I provided and that you bought.
