Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Now that is a use of DVLA information/ ANPR/ etc that I could get behind! More carrot, less stick!

The forum seems to be looking a bit like this currently...
Not seen it this quiet and lacking in posts for as long as I can remember!
I can only assume some epic New Year celebrations and long recovery times are/were needed...

The admins need to make some manual adjustments at the beginning of each year for the permissions and donor status to update correctly. I have now updated the donor logging system so that 'Donor 2022's have lost their green tags and any donations from now will get 'Donor 2024' status.Rp0thejester wrote: 30 Dec 2023, 22:01 I was a donor in 2022 it's due to run out, if I put the tenner in will it automatically get renewed or do I need to do something?
I have not yet updated the forum view permissions for Donor 2024, but that should follow in a few hours.

Is it just me that write a reply to a post then reads it through and thinks nah! And then deletes it as it doesn't read right or waffles too much?

I'm more of a types a response, submits it, reads it, shocked about how many (often "autocorrect" generates. EDIT: meant "Generated" ) errors are present, then immediately go back and Edit the post to fix the ones I've spotted. Then I'll submit, then read, then spot some more errors and do on!Sloppysod wrote: 02 Jan 2024, 12:05 Is it just me that write a reply to a post then reads it through and thinks nah! (And generally, consistently, waffle too much!)

Re: the autocorrect thing, I don't have it, fortunately, as some of the suggestions are insane and there are myriad prompts to use furrin spelling (Websterite).
This morning I asked my son if my Japanese granddaughters were OK after the earthquake and plane crash. He said they were fine and that James was too.
Who the hell is James? Have I a grandson I knew nothing about?
It was his autocorrect renaming the airport: Haneda

Fecking loves to wind me up, she'll end up out living me just to pee me off. We do have a good relationship though, not many people can call their MILs Gollum to their face and get away with it! If iPods can disable back ground noise when listening to music I wonder if there's a disable MIL noise.....

I have Bluetooth Hearing aids, they are great, filter out some noise, but She does not know how much, so always have the option "Sorry dear, I didn't hear you!"Rp0thejester wrote: 04 Jan 2024, 18:08 If iPods can disable back ground noise when listening to music I wonder if there's a disable MIL noise.....

I'm sorry I disagree profoundly with your attitude towards your mother in law. It's disrespectful and passive aggressive with your language. It's not humorous friendly, it shows a bad attitude.Rp0thejester wrote: 04 Jan 2024, 18:08 Fecking loves to wind me up, she'll end up out living me just to pee me off. Your mil is probably taking it all with a smile as she loves her daughter and wants to support her. You need to look at your language and relationships very closely. Being proud of being able to say this kind of thing shows there's something very wrong here.
