I too consider a Mazda 6 a good choice Steve and looking forward to hearing all about it.... You really can't go wrong with a Japanese car...

Oh, that's interesting Richard  I see lots of camshafts for sale and that says a lot...

On a cheerier note, here's today's festive offering from my run earlier :)

It is a 2L T. Takyya or something, petrol. Not here currently, son has swiped it. Must give it a look over.
Had a go at deciphering the buttons and lights on the dash. Not much progress there other than the knowledge that it won't play my USB dongles like the Civic did.
Comfortable with warm seats is a start though.

I just found some of the blurb (info sheet) in my back pocket as I was about to chuck my clothes in the washer.
Takuya, as above (scribble worse than mine on the receipt)

I didn't like the rear view mirror, too small and made worse by the tinted rear screen, may have to take a Brillo pad to that. Not a fan of tinted windows.

The Mazda 6 should give you good results, not had a bad Mazda yet through all my trading years.

Mazda's generally good (I run 2 !), but as per what Richard said above - the Skyactive diseasal can be a disaster. I had a friend had to scrap her perfectly good Mazda.... apart from the fact the engine had seized - carbon build up due to emissions control crap. The carbon had completely blocked the oil pickup. It's a very common issue.

The random hand has selected its August 2023 image for the sister thread
Picture(s) of the Day Random Review of 2023...
link here viewtopic.php?p=783885#p783885
As it turned out Page number 702 was selected...some nice near misses. Steve may enjoy a "Picture of Lily", and Jim a bit of "Autumn in Summer" from that page :-D It kicks off here with a nice signal box for me and ends with Ryan's "purple weeds" ie Buddleia viewtopic.php?p=764309#p764309

and there's this original from me.

I stand by my comment, it's a weed. But I did learn that they attract bees especially well as bees can see purple better than any other colour. It's still a weed.

The definition of a weed allows any plant to be considered a weed if it grows where it is not wanted. So the asignation of 'weed' to any plant depends on the assigner, not the plant.
