To be honest there's so many cars now with alloy wheels are they really needed , back when the old escort xr3is were having there's stolen they were needed then but didn't really stop the crooks ,they are a nuisance when they wear & expensive to remove if you needed someone to do it its about 100 quid a wheel where i am. Only takes 30 seconds ! If you can move yours and replace them i defo would while you can

Go into engine ECU then STD parameter measurements, and look for oil pressure. I'd have thought you'd be looking around 3 bar idle and maybe 4-5 at 3000 rpm.

Thanks Jim, i was with him just a few hours before he passed, he comes back in my dreams , that old saying you don't know what you got till its gone is so very true. He used to follow my car stuff , only by asking me each week i used to vist him always interested in what i was doing. I feel I'm slowly getting some where with this little Picasso , only drove it twice carefully mind you it feels so nice .

At a loose end, so I checked my 3008 with the same DV6C engine...it just says oil pressure OK, no figure given. Would need to see a wiring diagram to understand if there's more than one set of contacts that might give a high reading.

I can't believe people still use locking nuts, what a faff they are! I had mine round off so got a friend to weld a bolt onto them, worked like a charm.

Good point i was wondering if the oil presser sensor switch might be on its way out , or gunked up. Maybe someone could be so kind and pop a wire diagram up?

That's why i don't use or want them there off mine now thank god. For me the design is just to weak plus the mechanic with his rattle gun don't help either as by my photo these bolts should be labeled unfit for purpose

Could have sworn mine gave a figure... In that case I too am curious to know how it knows it's too high!

Mine too will display on the dash oil ok when the ignition gets switched on so it knows the level is where it should be, that's a plus for me .More news my pick up pipe has arrived today . Oil feed, oil strainer pipe so many names for one part, new bolts and gasket too.
