Here, here - better copyright it, or Stellantis will steal the idea!!
By contrast it's the first day of summer here - was outside playing with the camera this afternoon.

Ooops!
Volvo sliding round a tight bend hit the Civic and shoved it into the kerb.
Forgot to take photo's of the kerb side
Probably a write off.
Have dashcam footage and the girl admitted liability.

The worst part was having to phone our insurers as I believe that it is required to notify them of accidents.
At least LV+ are very pleasant and easy to deal with and it was a very nice Yorkshire lass
They are sorting it all out and fixing a hire car. Sent them the photo's and the dashcam video.

Not looking forward to getting a replacement. It has been a good car until this happened.

Surely they won't write it off just for that Steve?myglaren wrote: 01 Dec 2023, 15:10 Not looking forward to getting a replacement. It has been a good car until this happened.
If you do need to replace it and I hope you don't, get yourself a nice C3 Picasso

Good choice Steve, but I'd subtract 1 from the number and add an M and an X if I were going for a Mazda

Daughter has one. Bit of a bugger to transport mountain bikes in them.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Amused me when she got her Christmas tree last year. Opened the lid and slung it into the passenger footwell, hanging out over the boot.
I almost bought a Mazda six previously but the Civic was closer and it was from the Polish bloke who does all our car work, very trustworthy and a nice bloke.
Just been for the Civic. Drove OK but lots of warnings on the dash and indicators buggered.

Don't buy a Mazda with the 2.2 Diesel....
That Civic will be a 'write off' for sure - they probably won't even look at it. However, be careful - presume this is 100% the other driver's fault? In which case you should claim off her insurance, and sidestep yours. The car can't be written off by them, as they have no hold over it - and you have the right to be put back in the position you were, either by repair or recompense; and that is to the value of a replacement, not some imagined trade in value! Provided it has missed the wheel / suspension, then it should be fairly easy to stick a new corner on it from a scrapper and get it back on the road - if you can get the Ins Co to pay out to you, then you could end up in profit!
