Oh gosh, what a game Diagbox and Lexia is turning out to be

When my Lexia hardware arrived last evening, I was mildly surprised to see no software. I was expecting a CD... Silly me!
Anyway, a look at the email containing the invoice had download links for Diagbox 9.91 and evil of evils, a bloody hateful sodding Youtube video on how to download and install

What's wrong with printed words and diagrams in a PDF? This 'video everything' fetish really annoys me

I HATE Youtube passionately.
Anyway, enough of that. The Diagbox software is huge, three WinRAR files, two of 4.4Gb and one of 526Mb

All to be downloaded from a Giggle Drive... Oh what a giggle that was, took bloody ages and my old Windows laptop got very stroppy as did my Internet; just at the wrong bloody time
In the end I downloaded all the files on my 'best' Chromebook fairly easily and successfully and moved them to the Windows laptop via an SD card! So, once again Windows a big fat zero and good old Chromebook a complete triumph

Windows really is a pile of smelly poo

I only use Bill Gate's finest evil devil operating system because I must for this.
The Diagbox software runs in a VMWare Player and I can see why they took this approach... Quite smart of them
So far, I've got the files on the laptop. I now need to unzip and unRAR them and then see if the VMWare player will run before giving Diagbox a go.
Too brain-addled to do it this evening. A bit of fun for tomorrow after I've written my CCC Column
On the plus-side. I was delighted to be able to take a Polly payload of rubbish and assorted scrap to the tip today... Getting rid of clutter always makes me feel good and youngest daughter noticed yesterday and commented on how I'd gone really minimalist... I was so proud... That's just what I'm always aspiring to. I still have a way to go but I'm getting there... Good job the tip is only 3 minutes away
