As mentioned today Kev (Red Dwarfers) claimed the Porlock AA Box in 2016 with some nice photos.

This one is photobombed by a very nice direction sign

Unless I was blind, the Porlock AA Box was not there when we went past on the Saunter... And that was wearing my new glasses too...

Its Grade II Listed Jim, and had a refurb from its previous sorry state before Kev's Photo's in 2016. It was there on google Streetview in 2018. Would be surprised if it wasnt there.

Today on my bike I visited the town with no name...
A still from my bikecam

It looks like the town in question has had its borders moved a little as a new sign has been erected about a quarter of a mile further along this road...

Best place for it, sort of ish sign pointing the way.

Now with Channel 4 TV fame, with a stream, woodland and a long fence and some beavers...together with the normal farm livestock..

Up close and personal with this one today, nice red railway logo, and with pristine lettering and the ring at the top declaring Northumberland Coast A.O.N.B. It isn't an original Cast Iron sign, with all the associated patina of the years, but a very decent reproduction and the fractions of a mile have thankfully been reproduced. :-D
