It is! Resplendent on a a similarly lovely blue sky day.

The rain and the wind has arrived in Northumberland and its dull and misty to boot...reminds me of the first line of Love Resurrection by Alison Moyet...

"What can I do to make light of this dull dull day "

Answer build a signal box, add a splash of mineral mist, red and yellow brightly painted signals and a dash of brilliant white, and finish it off with the highlight of a couple of red celebrations lids.

That's a lovely stretch of road...... when you're not following a motorhome or caravan and it's not busy in high summer. Very nice on a motorbike

I saw this image in a link which few will have clicked on, on the Romsey Signal Box Museum Website. A superb little project in Romsey Hampshire, which also takes a fully working authentic miniature signal box equipment installation as an educational resource to local schools.

This night-time image in black and white is the signal box formerly at Cowley Bridge Junction near Exeter which the miniature installation is based on.

Have to give Ryan the credit for that, but a closer look reveals the clue left behind in the picture which I had missed. 545 miles as the crow flies from Biarritz...One version of the Bristol Hotel is in Gibraltar and in an approximate co-incidence Bristol is 553 miles from Biarritz as the crow flies (As the crow flies mileages supplied by https://www.doogal.co.uk/MeasureDistances )
